Qantas Launches New Tasmania Flights
Qantas has announced new flights to Tasmania launching in time for the Summer Holidays.
With the easing of border restriction between New South Wales and Tasmania, Qantas are set to operate a new route between Sydney and Launceston, flying between the cities for the first time since 2004.
The new service will start on 4th December 2020 in time for Summer holidays, initially operating 3 times a week, ramping up to 4 times a week until 1 February 2021 (with the scope to continue with demand).
The airline will also be resuming flights between Sydney and Hobart from the 6th November 2020 with 11 return services per week, as well as announcing new flights between Brisbane and Hobart, and Gold Coast and Hobart (Jetstar).
In total, the airline has available more than 125,000 seats between the mainland and Tasmania this December, providing plenty of opportunity to achieve your Tasmania travel goals!
