Adelaide’s CBD turns into a festival goers fantasy land packed with live shows, outdoor dining, street theatre and more during February & March. We’ve put together an Insiders Guide To The Adelaide Fringe to make the most of your trip to the festival state.

Where To Stay

The Adelaide Fringe and The Adelaide Festival, both take part in the Adelaide CBD. The Adelaide Festival is housed at The Adelaide Festival Centre, while The Fringe has hubs in the East End of the city as well as the central Victoria Square.

 

Adelaide has a number of new hotels that are conveniently located to enjoy the festivities including Eos By SkyCity, and The Crowne.

Best Of Adelaide Fringe

The Adelaide Fringe focuses on the East End of Adelaide with 2 Garden pop-up venues “The Garden Of Unearthly Delights” and “Gluttony”. Head to one of these outdoor venues for theatre shows, comedy acts, wine bars, and plenty of food trucks.

 

Nearby Dining
The East End is home to a number of restaurants, Rundle Street is closed over the weekends during Fringe allowing the dining precinct to spill out into the streets with additional seating and plenty of outdoor areas to make the most of the warm Adelaide march weather. Head to Africola, Mum Cha, Golden Boy, and the East End Wine Cellars for premium dining.

Best Of Adelaide Festival

The Adelaide Festival Centre, located on North Terrace is the home of the Adelaide Festival. The Adelaide FEstival Summerhouse is a purpose built pop up venue right on the River Torrens perfect for a pre or post show drink, as well as hosting a program of entertainment.

 

Nearby Dining
With the Adelaide Festival Hub located near the West End of the city, the Leigh & Bank Street laneways as well as the SkyCity precinct are conveniently located to enjoy a meal or a drink and soak up the festival atmosphere. Head to Gondola Gondola, Leigh Street Wine Room, Madame Hanoi, or Seans Kitchen to enjoy a nearby meal and drink.
