Air New Zealand Brisbane and Sydney Services to Norfolk Island
Air New Zealand recently announced that it will be extending its agreement with the Australian Government to operate flights between Norfolk Island and Australia from 30 August 2021 until the end of August 2023.
Under the new agreement Air New Zealand will operate its A320 Aircraft with up to three flights per week from Brisbane and three flights from Sydney.
The Air New Zealand CEO has also announced that the airline will be establishing a temporary pilot and crew base in Brisbane until November to ensure no disruptions to the travel bubble will not affect services to Norfolk Island. Prior to the trans-Tasman bubble opening Pilot and crew members were required to stay in Australia for 14 days before operating services to Norfolk Island, having a crew based in Australia will ensure the airline avoids disruption to its services.
Flights from Brisbane to Norfolk Island will depart Monday, Thursday, and Saturday, returning Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. The Sydney flight will depart for Norfolk Island on Tuesday, Friday and Saturdays, returning on Monday, Thursday and Saturday.
